So, now that you've created an iCrederity card, added your credentials, and verified it, let us get to creating a public card and promoting it.

Note: Ability to create and share public card is enabled if and only if your identity has been verified by iCrederity.

What is the iCrederity public card?

Think of the iCrederity public card as your iCrederity public profile of your credentials. It's what you can show the world as a verified profile. You have an option to show/hide information present in the public card.

How to get an iCrederity public card?

Every identity verified iCrederity user has access to their public card. It will be the last entry under your "My iCrederity" in the left navigation bar.

Clicking on 'Public Card' would take you to the Public card page.

Here, you get to choose the credentials and personal information you'd like to displayed along with the option to make your card, public / not.

You also get to choose the custom URL by which you can share your public card.

FAQs for public card

• What if I don't want a public card?
  • It's fairly simple. Just choose the mode as private. This will ensure that you don't have a public card and will prevent the search engines from indexing it.
• What if I had a public card, and it's already been indexed, how do I remove it?
  • This is a toughie. While iCrederity promptly removes the URL and the page associated with it, Google and other search engines will keep it indexed for sometime. However, if someone does search and find you, they cannot view your public profile. We are working to see how soon we can ask Google to remove it from their index.
• I do not want to show my full name. Nor my mobile number or my email id. What do I do?
  • We know that privacy is important. Hence you have complete control over what you want to show and how you want it to be seen. So, check out the drop down menus, showing different representations, etc. And simply uncheck the items that you don't want people to see.
• How long will this URL be valid?
  • This URL will be valid as long as you're a valid user in iCrederity. So unless you do something that would require you to go through identity verification again, the URL will be valid.
• How much will this cost me?
  • If you're identity verified, then the public card feature is free for use.
